Summary: | This research book highlights the usefulness of typhlotechnology as support for the activities carried out by people with visual disabilities and its relevance in the construction of identity. From its content developed in six chapters, it can be used to guide this population in their training.Likewise, the theoretical concepts delve into aspects that affect the construction of representations of the blind person and the interaction with others for the development of skills. In the first chapter a deep conceptualization about identity is made. In the second chapter mention is made of typhlotechnology to function autonomously and improve their quality of life. The third chapter emphasizes the need to delve into the training processes aimed at a correct management of typhlotechnological tools and the rights to education of the blind population. In the fourth chapter, the research methodology is presented, alluding to the type of research, the design, the approach and research instruments. In the fifth chapter a discussion is carried out on the aspects that affect the construction of identity of people with visual disabilities. Finally, in the sixth chapter, the conclusions are presented, highlighting the way in which typhlotechnology has influenced the construction of a part of the identity of people with visual disabilities.
