Summary: | Project management theoretical basis has intended to merge topics related to process standardization, stakeholder management, evaluation requirements, and performance on products or services coherent with accomplishing organizational strategic objectives. The aim is to identify and control complex projects mainly framed by a variety of sizes, settings, and interrelations that engender unpredictable dynamism, risks, and uncertainties. Therefore, the book “Gerencia de Proyectos Complejos” is the result of an exhaustive and innovative compilation of research, based on the evaluation of concepts and visions, about the challenges and advances in complex project management; addressing issues as supply chains, circular economy, resource optimization, public and private sector initiatives, stakeholder management, software development, organizational capacity, maturity, administration of higher education institutions, project offices, programs, and portfolios. All of them through the use of literary review, instruments, scientometric and statistical analysis. Consequently, the formulation of this manuscript contributes to reducing knowledge gaps around complexity and project management to establish notions from diverse perspectives and experiences in the field of scientific research.
