Summary: | The book makes an approach to the problem of violence, from the point of view of the direct actors -in this case men and masculinity patternsas well as those who approach the problem from different perspectives such as state entities, NGOs and judicial operators. To respond to this objective-general structure, a detailed exposition of the theme was made in the construction of concepts of masculinity and violence; the description of the factors involved in the problem of violence, the causes, the invisibility of the problem and the subsequent damage to the victims; as well as the historical, geopolitical and psychosocial contextualization to understand the various aspects that complicate the problem and justify its interdisciplinary management. From a perspective that is still limited in a new context of justice and captivity, it is hoped that this will be a contribution that constitutes an alert for the work model that will guide the Special Jurisdiction for Peace; that even affects the right to evidence, to the extent that it proposes a new way of assessing sexual violence.
