description The teaching and learning of mathematics can be understood through previous research experiences in diverse contexts and applied research experiences through rigorous research processes and their corresponding methodology. The research works at the Master’s level are presented based on a systematic synthesis of theoretical and methodological references and analysis of results. Their contribution to the configuration of a book is based on the understanding of the pedagogical work of the teacher in the teaching of mathematics in a multigrade school. The first research aims to identify the work of the teacher in the teaching of mathematics in the multigrade school at the Domingo Sabio Rural School in the municipality of Villapinzón Cundinamarca. In the course of its development, different thematic modules contemplated in this document emerged. The study focuses on answering how educational practices are carried out in rural scenarios and the different actions implemented by teachers when teaching mathematics, such as strategies, time organization, materials implemented, the evaluation process and possible interdisciplinarities. In the second research was carried out through the contextualization of different situations, creation of stories, modeling processes and problem solving, implemented in the personal and social growth that can be used later and that allow students to generate their own hypotheses, build concepts and create their autonomous learning in relation to the different mathematical thoughts. From the central theme of the research, some conceptions of the story, the didactic tool, the re-construction of concepts and problem solving of the fifth grade of the Instituto Técnico Empresarial de Yopal Casanare are taken up. The third study was carried out with the participation of unitary school teachers, using the unstructured interview as the main instrument for data collection, which allowed us to know in detail their performanceand teaching work from their experiences, narratives and reflections of their practices, and thus identify their way of teaching  mathematics in a rural unitary classroom, identifying the methodologies, programs and teaching strategies they use for the development of their classes with their students.

Los trabajos de investigación desarrollados en los grados de Maestría se presentan a partir de una síntesis sistemática de los referentes teóricos, metodológicos y de análisis de resultados. Su aporte para la configuración de un libro, se fundamenta en la comprensión del quehacer pedagógico del docente durante la enseñanza de las matemáticas en una escuela multigrado. La primera investigación se propone identificar el quehacer del docente en la enseñanza de las matemáticas en la escuela  Domingo Sabio en el municipio de Villapinzón (Cundinamarca). En el transcurso de su desarrollo surgieron diferentes módulos temáticos contemplados en este documento. El estudio se concentra en dar respuesta de cómo se llevan a cabo las prácticas educativas en los escenarios rurales y las diferentes acciones que implementan los docentes en el momento de enseñar la matemática, como las estrategias, la organización de los tiempos, los materiales implementados, el proceso de evaluación y las posibles interdisciplinariedades. La segunda investigación, se realizó a través de la contextualización de diversas situaciones, creación de historias, procesos de modelación y resolución de problemas, implementados en el crecimiento personal y social que puedan ser utilizados más adelante y, que permitan, al estudiante generar sus propias hipótesis, construir conceptos y crear su aprendizaje autónomo en relación con los diferentes pensamientos matemáticos. A partir del tema central de la  investigación, se retoman algunas concepciones del cuento, la herramienta didáctica, la re-construcción de conceptos y la resolución de problemas del grado quinto del Instituto Técnico Empresarial de Yopal Casanare. El tercer estudio, se realizó con la participación de docentes de escuelas unitarias, utilizando la entrevista no estructurada como instrumento principal de recolección de información, lo que permitió detalladamente conocer su desempeño y quehacer docente desde sus  experiencias, narraciones y reflexiones de sus prácticas, y de esta manera identificar su forma de enseñar matemáticas dentro de un aula rural unitaria, identificando las metodologías, programas y estrategias didácticas que utilizan para el desarrollo de sus clases con sus estudiantes. El cuarto capítulo, surge de la necesidad de indagar la validez del uso de material didáctico especializado para el avance del aprendizaje de las matemáticas, en los niños de kínder, quienes oscilan entre los cuatro y cinco años. Asimismo, aproxima a un cuestionamiento sobre las prácticas tradicionales en la enseñanza de las matemáticas y surge de la necesidad de proponer, al colegio y a los maestros, un material que responda a los problemas de atención y aprendizaje de los niños para disminuir las dificultades para obtener mejores resultados.
