Description
Summary:This book is the product of a research process carried out during 2020-2021 by the research group GIEPEG of the UPTC with the  purpose of understanding topics on gender within the institution. The categories we looked at included discrimination, sexual  harassment, workplace harassment, gender violence, and human rights violations in the academic community. In doing so, we  proposed university guidelines for the newly created Gender and Human Rights Monitoring Center. For this proposal, we used  mixed-method research through surveys, open-ended questions, and focus group discussions. The results led to the creation of  the UPTC Gender and Human Rights Observatory Center under Agreement 053 of 2021 by the Superior Council. The  observatory center enables monitoring, research, and the university’s development, all which contribute to the creation of  conditions that encourage sponsorship and the respect for human rights in the different strata of the university and society.
