Summary: | Teaching of Natural Sciences, interculturality and rural context: a Latin American perspective, collects experiences from various countries in the region. Its purpose is to show a conceptual, ontological, and methodological overview related to the various ways in which interculturality is approached and assumed in the teaching of Natural Sciences, especially in rural contexts. Reading each of its chapters allows us to know and reflect on the school as a community actor, identify the commitments and challenges facing science teaching by recognizing cultural diversity and the specific needs of rural communities. An intercultural view of the Natural Sciences is essential to favor and encourage the participation of communities in the understanding of science as a social and historical construct.
