Summary:The objective of this work is to identify the teaching and evaluation practices of the teachers of a Colombian university. The research has a quantitative approach and a descriptive scope. The sample was composed by 180 teachers from the Faculty of Education, at the Corporation Minuto de Dios (UNIMINUTO). As a data collection instrument, the Questionnaire for the Evaluation of the Teaching and Evaluative Methodology of University Professors (CEMEDEPU) was used as an instrument, taking into account three scales: one focused on teaching, another on learning and the last one on the skills of competent university professors . According tom the specific descriptive statistics. It is established that there is a high and significant positive correlation between the variables. The main conclusion is that the teachers analyzed have the following skills: planning, instructional management, interaction and evaluation; but they do not relate to what they teach and evaluate
