description This article arises from the initial developments of a research thesis for the Interinstitutional Doctorate in Education at the National Pedagogic University. The aim is to determine the historical conditions that have made possible the training of biology teachers at this university and the transformations in the curricula. To this end, an archaeological-genealogical perspective is adopted, based on concepts such as knowledge and power. There is an archive of more than 500 documentary sources, subject to processes of theming, hypertextual reading and identification of regularities. The findings show that the training of biology teachers in Colombia is crossed by expressions such as development, modernization, research, scientific training, among others. The early curricula have a biological disciplinary approach, while the pedagogical and educational components are addressed to a lesser extent. This contrasts with the more recent curricula, which allude to the teaching of biology and to the alive-life relation.

Este artículo de investigación surge de las apuestas realizadas en la tesis del Doctorado Interinstitucional en Educación de la Universidad Pedagógica Nacional. Se busca determinar las condiciones históricas que han posibilitado la formación de maestros de biología en esta universidad y las transformaciones en los planes de estudio. Para eso, se adopta una perspectiva arqueológico-genealógica, a partir de conceptos como saber y poder. Se cuenta con un archivo de más de 500 fuentes documentales, sometidas a procesos de tematización, lectura hipertextual e identificación deregularidades. Los hallazgos muestran que la formación de maestros de biología en Colombia está atravesada por enunciados como desarrollo, modernización, investigación, formación científica, entre otros. Los primeros planes de estudio tienen un enfoque disciplinar biológico, mientras que los componentes pedagógicos y educativos son abordados en menor medida. Esto contrasta con losplanes más recientes, que hacen alusión a la enseñanza de la biología y la relación vivo-vida. O artigo surge dos desenvolvimentos iniciais de uma tese de investigação do Doutorado interagências em Educação da Universidade Pedagógica Nacional. O objetivo é determinar as condições históricas que permitiram a formação de professores de biologia nestauniversidade e as transformações nos currículos. Para isso, adota-se uma perspectiva arqueológico-genealógica, baseada em conceitos como conhecimento e poder. Existe um arquivo de mais de 500 fontes documentais, sujeitas a processos temáticos, leitura hipertextual e identificação de regularidades. Os resultados mostram que a formação de professores de biologia na Colômbia é atravessada por expressões como desenvolvimento, modernização, investigação, formação científica, entre outras. Os primeiros currículos têm uma abordagem disciplinar biológica, enquanto os componentes pedagógicos e educacionais são abordados em menor grau. Isso contrasta com os planos mais recentes, que aludem ao ensino de biologia e à relação vivo-vida.
