description The text present the conceptual development about an author denominated pedagogical research. It explains from the reading and interpretation of Sir Arthur Konan Doyle texts and its main character Sherlock Holmes, some clues on order to do the pedagogical researcher: personal passion for the knowledge, curiosity and astonished, diligence and discipline, logical and imaginatively ability. At same time it explains the possibility of free and public discussion in the university and the strength in the writing and the community academic formation as characteristic of pedagogical researcher. The text is development in three parts: first makes references to the characteristics of researcher, second it is about the process of research and performance characteristics of itself and last it explains the institutional conditions which permit its action and implication into society.

El texto presenta los desarrollos conceptuales sobre lo que el autor denomina investigador pedagógico. Plantea a partir de la lectura e interpretación de los textos de Sir Arthur Konan Doyle y su personaje central Sherlock Holmes, algunas pistas para formar al investigador pedagógico: pasión personal por el conocimiento, curiosidad y asombro, laboriosidad y disciplina, capacidad lógica e imaginativa. De igual manera plantea la posibilidad de la discusión libre y pública en la Universidad y la fortaleza en la escritura y la formación de comunidades académicas como característica del investigador pedagógico. El texto se desarrolla en tres partes: la primera hace referencia a las características del investigador, la segunda al proceso y características de formación del mismo y por último se plantean las condiciones institucionales que permite su acción y proyección en la sociedad. Le texte présente les développements conceptuels sur ce que l’auteur appelle chercheur pédagogique. A partir de la lecture et l’interprétation des textes de Sir Arthur Konan Doyle et son personnage central Sherlock Holmes, on présente quelques pistes pour former le chercheur pédagogique : passion personnelle pour la connaissance, curiosité et émerveillement, laboriosité et discipline, capacité logique et imaginative. De la même manière on expose la possibilité de la discussion libre et publique dans l’Université et la force dans l’écriture et la formation de communautés académiques comme quelque chose de caractéristique du chercheur pédagogique. Le texte se développe en trois parties : la première fait référence aux caractéristiques du chercheur, la deuxième à son processus et ses caractéristiques de formation et finalement, on présente les conditions institutionnelles qui permettent son action et projection dans la société. O artigo apresenta os desenvolvimentos conceituais sobre aquilo que o autor chama de pesquisador pedagógico. Salienta, a partir da leitura e interpretação dos textos de Sir Arthur Donan Doyle e seu personagem central Sherlock Holmes, algumas dicas para formar o pesquisador pedagógico: paixão pessoal pelo conhecimento, curiosidade e assombro, empenho e disciplina, capacidade lógica e imaginativa. Da mesma forma salienta a possibilidade da discussão livre e pública na universidade e a fortaleza na escrita e na formação de comunidades acadêmicas como característica do pesquisador pedagógico. O texto desenvolve-se em três partes: a primeira faz referencia às características do pesquisador, a segunda ao processo e características da formação dele e no final expôs as condições institucionais que permitem sua ação e projeção na sociedade.
