Results and conclusions: The family, as a system, is a group of individuals who have dynamic relationships with each other, and whose positive or negative events can affect different areas, among them, the health-disease process. The family and the community present aspects that enrich the understanding of the family physician in situations related to the social determinants of health and primary health care; their practice and their relationship with the community, institutional and cultural environments allow a better understanding of the family as a system, and, in this way, of the history of the disease or of the basic criteria of health. |

Objetivo: Interpretar la dinámica familiar y su influencia en los procesos de salud-enfermedad bajo el enfoque de promoción de la salud. Métodos: Análisis cualitativo a partir del estudio de un caso de familia obtenido mediante los registros de campo y ficha familiar del barrio Los Patriotas, de la ciudad de Tunja, Boyacá, durante el año 2019. Resultados y conclusiones: La familia, como sistema, es un conjunto de individuos que tienen relaciones dinámicas entre sí, y cuyos eventos positivos o negativos pueden afectar diferentes ámbitos, entre ellos, el proceso salud-enfermedad. En la familia y la comunidad se presentan aspectos que enriquecen la comprensión del médico familiar en situaciones relacionadas con los determinantes sociales de la salud y la atención primaria en salud; su práctica y su relación con los entornos comunitarios, institucionales y culturales le permiten una mejor comprensión de la familia como sistema, y, por esta vía, de la historia de la enfermedad o de los criterios básicos que se manejan de la salud. Objetivo: Interpretar a dinâmica familiar e sua influência nos processos de saúde-doença sob o enfoque da promoção da saúde. Métodos: análise qualitativa baseada no estudo de um caso familiar obtido por meio de registros de campo e registros familiares do bairro Los Patriotas na cidade de Tunja, Boyacá, durante o ano de 2019. Resultados e conclusões: A família, como um sistema, é um grupo de indivíduos que mantêm relações dinâmicas entre si e cujos eventos positivos ou negativos podem afetar diferentes áreas, inclusive o processo saúde-doença. A família e a comunidade apresentam aspectos que enriquecem a compreensão do médico de família sobre situações relacionadas aos determinantes sociais da saúde e à atenção primária à saúde; sua prática e sua relação com a comunidade, os ambientes institucionais e culturais permitem que ele compreenda melhor a família como um sistema e, dessa forma, a história da doença ou os critérios básicos de saúde.
