description This study utilizes the elaboration of a sumo-type robot with removable parts as teaching material that facilitates the teaching-learning process of electronics and programming concepts in Arduino. A prototype was modeled and simulated with AutoCad and SolidEdge design software with which the dimensions of the mechanical structure of the prototype was created. An Arduino board was used as a control element in order to effectively manipulate the sensors and actuators that make up the robot. The construction of the prototype utilized printed 3D parts which were compared to the original design parameters of the robot. The developed robot has educational guides for the mechanical and electronic assembly as well as programming guides for its correct operation. As a result, the sumo robot meets the technical and pedagogical requirements to be used as teaching material.

Este trabajo expone la elaboración de un robot tipo sumo con piezas desmontables, pensado como material didáctico que facilite el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de conceptos de electrónica y programación en Arduino. Dicho prototipo fue modelado y simulado con los softwares de diseño AutoCad y SolidEdge, con lo que se logró el dimensionamiento de la estructura mecánica del prototipo. Como elemento de control se usó la placa Arduino, con el fin de manipular de manera eficaz los sensores y actuadores que componen el robot. Además, para la construcción del prototipo, se optó por la impresión de piezas en 3D y se verificó que el robot cumpliera con los parámetros de diseño establecidos. El robot desarrollado cuenta con sus guías didácticas para el ensamble mecánico y electrónico, así como con las de programación para su correcto funcionamiento. Por lo tanto, se puede decir que el robot sumo cumple con los requisitos técnicos y pedagógicos para ser empleado como material didáctico.  Este trabalho apresenta o desenvolvimento de um robô de sumô com peças destacáveis, concebido como material didático para facilitar o processo de ensino-aprendizagem de conceitos electrónicos e de programação em Arduino. Este protótipo foi modelado e simulado com os softwares de desenho AutoCad e SolidEdge, com o qual se conseguiu o dimensionamento da estrutura mecânica do protótipo. A placa Arduino foi usada como elemento de controle, a fim de manipular eficazmente os sensores e atuadores que compõem o robô. Além disso, para a construção do protótipo, optou-se pela impressão em 3D das peças e o robô foi verificado para garantir que ele estivesse de acordo com os parâmetros de projeto estabelecidos. O robô desenvolvido dispõe de suas guias didáticas para a montagem mecânica e eletrônica, assim como das guias de programação para seu correto funcionamento.
