description Objective: To analyze the experience of students from Bogotá's public universities to the emergency remote education model, implemented as a result of the suspension of classes due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Originality/contribution: Its approach, focused on the experiences of the students, provides a wealth of information on the central actors of the educational process, evidencing some gaps between the discourse and the reality of remote education. Method: mixed, as it integrates qualitative and quantitative information. The closed questions were statistically processed, and their results were contrasted with the information obtained in the open questions and with the literature on the subject. Strategies/information collection: A virtual survey on the conditions of connectivity and the experience of the students under this model was used as a basic instrument for the collection of information. Conclusions: The main findings are: in the first place, it is confirmed that the need to access a computer permanently, with a quality internet connection, constitutes an obstacle that is difficult to solve for students, which generates frustration and demotivation. Second, it is evidenced that, for students, the Internet connection and the home environment are perceived as a source of distraction that prevents them from concentrating on their studies. Third, as a consequence of the previous two, the majority of students consider that the quality of education has decreased and believe that this will negatively impact their professional future.

Objetivo: analizar la experiencia de los estudiantes de las universidades públicas de Bogotá con el modelo de educación remota de emergencia implementado a raíz de la suspensión de las clases presenciales por la pandemia de COVID-19. Originalidad/aporte: Su enfoque, centrado en las experiencias de los estudiantes, provee un acervo de información sobre los actores centrales del proceso educativo, evidenciando algunas brechas entre el discurso y la realidad de la educación remota.  Método: mixto, en cuanto integra información cualitativa y cuantitativa. Las preguntas cerradas fueron procesadas estadísticamente y sus resultados se contrastaron con la información obtenida en las preguntas abiertas y con la literatura sobre el tema.   Estrategias/recolección de información: Como instrumento básico para la recolección de información se utilizó una encuesta virtual sobre las condiciones de conectividad y la experiencia de los estudiantes bajo el modelo de educación remota, aplicada en cuatro universidades públicas de Bogotá, entre octubre y noviembre de 2020. Conclusiones:Los principales hallazgos se orientan en tres direcciones: en primer lugar, se confirma que la necesidad de acceder a un equipo de manera permanente, con conexión de calidad a internet, constituye un obstáculo de difícil solución para los estudiantes, que genera frustración y desmotivación. En segundo lugar, se evidencia que, para los estudiantes, la conexión a internet y el entorno doméstico son percibidos como fuente de distracción de sus estudios. En tercer lugar, como consecuencia de las dos anteriores, los estudiantes mayoritariamente consideran que la calidad de la educación ha disminuido y creen que esto impactará negativamente su futuro profesional.   Objetivo: analisar a experiência de estudantes de universidades públicas de Bogotá com o modelo de educação a distância emergencial, implantado a partir da suspensão das aulas presenciais por conta da pandemia Covid-19. Originalidade/ contribuição: A sua abordagem, centrada nas experiências dos alunos, fornece uma riqueza de informações sobre os atores centrais do processo educativo, evidenciando algumas lacunas entre o discurso e a realidade da educação a distância. Método: misto, pois integra informações qualitativas e quantitativas. As questões fechadas foram processadas estatisticamente e seus resultados confrontados com as informações obtidas nas questões abertas e na literatura recente sobre o assunto. Estratégias/coleta de informações:  Um levantamento virtual sobre as condições de conectividade e a experiência dos alunos nesse modelo foi utilizado como instrumento básico de coleta de informações. Conclusões: As principais conclusões orientam-se em três direções: primeiro, confirma-se que a necessidade de aceder a um computador de forma permanente, com ligação à Internet de qualidade, constitui um obstáculo de difícil resolução para os alunos, o que gera frustração e desmotivação. Em segundo lugar, evidencia-se que, para os alunos, a conexão com a Internet e o ambiente doméstico são percebidos como fonte de distração que os impede de se concentrarem nos estudos. Terceiro, como consequência dos dois anteriores, a maioria dos alunos considera que a qualidade do ensino diminuiu, acredita que isso terá um impacto negativo no seu futuro profissional.
