description Objective: Due to the educational crisis caused by the COVID 19 pandemic, this article explores the impact that the Emergency Remote Teaching (ERT)  model has had on the Colombian educational context, as well as on the actors involved in this academic shift towards virtuality. Originality/contribution: We consider of utmost importance to understand the impact that the Emergency Remote Teaching (ERT)  model has had on the educational processes and their actors during the recent COVID-19 pandemic in Colombia. From the analysis of the positive and negative implications of this teaching model, it is possible to identify different shortcomings of the national education system in this transition to virtuality. Some opportunities for improvement are also proposed. Method: this research was developed under a qualitative methodology with interpretative orientation. The historical-hermeneutic approach guided the analysis of the information collected, since this research seeks to understand the educational experience in times of pandemic. Strategies/information collection: The collection of information was done through documentary review of online sources, press and semi-structured interviews. For the documentary analysis and review of periodical publications, information that circulated during 2020 in national and international newspapers such as El Tiempo, Revista Semana, BBC News Mundo and CNN en Español was used. The collection of online documents was carried out through the Google Scholar platform. The interviews were open-ended, which allowed us to start from a generative question in order to avoid biasing the story and, at the same time, to foster new questions and expand the narrative. The criteria for the selection of the participants had to do with their institutional affiliation to the Universidad Industrial de Santander as students and their socioeconomic status. Conclusions: From this article it is possible to conclude that despite government efforts to promote an online learning environment and the willingness of teachers and students to adapt to the new virtual teaching-learning spaces, the pandemic has exposed great difficulties related to digital infrastructure, as well as a gap -not only generational but also economic- that make it impossible to ensure the continuity of a thorough and quality educational process.

Originalidad/aporte: Consideramos de suma importancia comprender el impacto que el modelo de Enseñanza Remota de Emergencia (ERT) ha tenido sobre los procesos educativos y los actores que participaron en él durante la reciente pandemia de COVID-19 en Colombia. A partir del análisis de las implicaciones positivas y negativas de este modelo de enseñanza, se logran identificar las distintas falencias que exhibe el sistema educativo nacional en su tránsito a la virtualidad y así mismo, se plantean algunas oportunidades de mejora. Método: Para el desarrollo de esta investigación se optó por una metodología de tipo cualitativa con orientación interpretativa. El enfoque histórico-hermenéutico orientó el análisis de la información recolectada, en razón a que esta investigación busca comprender la experiencia educativa en tiempos de pandemia. Estrategias/recolección de información: La recolección de información se realizó a través de revisión documental de fuentes en línea, prensa y entrevistas semiestructuradas. Para el análisis y revisión documental de publicaciones periódicas se acudió a la información que durante el año 2020 circuló en periódicos nacionales e internacionales como El Tiempo, Revista Semana, BBC News Mundo y CNN en Español. La recopilación de documentos en línea se llevó a cabo por medio de la plataforma Google Scholar. Por su parte, las entrevistas fueron de carácter abierto, lo cual permitió partir de una pregunta generadora con el fin de no sesgar el relato y, así mismo, promover nuevas preguntas y ampliar la narración. Los criterios para la selección de los participantes tuvieron que ver con su filiación institucional a la Universidad Industrial de Santander en calidad de estudiantes y a su condición socioeconómica. Conclusiones: Con este artículo se concluye que a pesar de los esfuerzos gubernamentales por propiciar un ambiente de aprendizaje en línea y de la disposición de profesores y alumnos hacia los nuevos espacios virtuales de enseñanza-aprendizaje, la pandemia ha dejado al descubierto un cúmulo de dificultades de infraestructura digital, al igual que una brecha no solo generacional sino también económica, lo cual imposibilita la continuidad de un proceso educativo pleno y de calidad. Objetivo: Devido à crise educacional produzida pela pandemia do COVID 19, este artigo explora o impacto que o modelo de Ensino Remoto Emergenci teve no setor educacional colombiano e, ao mesmo tempo, nos atores que estiveram envolvidos nesta virada acadêmica para a virtualidade. Originalidade / contribuição: Considera-se muito importante compreender o impacto que o modelo de Ensino Remoto de Emergência (ERT) teve nos processos educacionais e nos atores que participaram dele durante a recente pandemia de COVID-19 na Colômbia. A partir da análise das implicações positivas e negativas deste modelo de ensino, é possível identificar as diferentes deficiências que o sistema educativo nacional apresenta na sua transição para a virtualidade e propor algumas oportunidades de melhoria. Método: Para o desenvolvimento desta pesquisa, optou-se por uma metodologia qualitativa com orientação interpretativa. A abordagem histórico-hermenêutica orientou a análise das informações coletadas, uma vez que esta pesquisa busca compreender a experiência educativa em tempos de pandemia. Estratégias / coleta de informações: A coleta de informações foi realizada por meio de revisão documental de fontes online, imprensa e entrevistas semiestruturadas. Para a análise e revisão documental das publicações periódicas, foram utilizadas as informações que circularam em jornais nacionais e internacionais como El Tiempo, Semana Magazine, BBC News Mundo e CNN en español durante 2020. A plataforma Google Scholar foi utilizada para coleta de documentos online. Por sua vez, as entrevistas foram abertas, o que permitiu partir de uma questão geradora para não distorcer a história, gerar novas questões e ampliar a narrativa. Os critérios de seleção dos participantes referiram-se à sua afiliação institucional à Universidade Industrial de Santander como alunos e ao seu nível socioeconômico.
