As one of his interpreter states that Cantiga (1987) is a rewritten work of two previous poems, this paper suggests a critical review from the context of his writing to the theoretical framework regarding common spaces. The result of this research shows that Cantiga determines a poet inserted in the world plentily observed by him and then names it. From this point of view, this José Manuel Arango’s work expresses the   division between the poetic subject and the world.

El propósito de este artículo es indagar en la tensión que, en la obra del poeta colombiano José Manuel Arango, lleva de la radical extrañeza con la que el sujeto poético experimenta el mundo a la presencia común como deriva de los elementos centrales de su poética. Para ello, a partir de la hipótesis de uno de sus críticos que señala que el poemario Cantiga (1987) es la reescritura de dos poemas sustraídos de una colección anterior, este artículo realiza una lectura transversal del poemario de Arango poniéndola en relación tanto con el contexto de escritura como con un marco teórico acerca de lo común. Los resultados llevan a sostener que laescritura que sustenta los poemas de Cantiga configura un tipo de sujeto poético que participa plenamente de aquello que primero observa y después nombra. O propósito deste artigo é indagar na tensão que, na obra do poeta colombiano José Manuel Arango, leva da radical estranheza com a que o sujeito poético experimenta o mundo à presença comum, como deriva-se dos elementos centrais da sua poética. Assim, a partir da hipótese de um dos seus críticos, que aponta que o livro de poemas Cantiga (1987) é a reescrita  de dois poemas de uma coleção anterior, este artigo desenvolve uma leitura transversal do livro de poemas de Arango, em relação tanto com o contexto de escrita quanto com um enquadramento teórico acerca do comum. Os resultados permitem argumentar que a escrita que suporta os poemas de Cantiga configura um tipo de sujeito poético que participa totalmente de aquilo que primeiro observa e depois nomeia. Desta forma, concluise que no livrode poemas a dissociação entre o sujeito e o mundo é expressada.
