description | This paper proposed here corresponds to the results of the development of the first phase of the research project "Fonoteca de la Banda Sinfónica de Vientos de Boyacá". In which, the need to restore the sound archive of the assembly is raised based on advances made in the preservation of existing documentary material. Therefore, to address a search and systematization of sound information, it was necessary, initially, to detail the importance of musicology and musical analysis, as tools that contribute to the preservation of the cultural legacy. In this way, it seeks to present a theoretical approach to the concept of musicology and how it has contributed, as a discipline of musical theory, to the historical and contextual study of society and culture, through the explanation and analysis of musical compositions arising in the different moments of human history.
As a working element of musicology, musical analysis is presented, an exercise that covers aspects such as origin, history, and political-social environment, in a global framework of the work, as well as how the author or composer manages to condense these episodes into a single musical piece based on subjective and objective aspects. The instrumental interpretation of works varies according to whether they are arranged for soloists or groups, about to with concerning the elements of a musicological and philosophical type that integrate them, and that from the point of view of musical analysis would have to be known to the interpreter. This phase of research is entirely hermeneutical theoretical since the whole approach is subject to the concepts of musical analysis and musicology, and the experiences that researchers have carried out in this field. |

El trabajo que aquí se postula corresponde a los resultados del desarrollo de la primera fase del proyecto de investigación “Fonoteca de la Banda Sinfónica de vientos de Boyacá”. En el cual, se plantea la necesidad de restaurar el archivo sonoro del ensamble citado partiendo de avances realizados en la preservación del material documental existente. Por ello, para abordar una búsqueda y sistematización de la información sonora se precisó, inicialmente, detallar la importancia de la musicología y el análisis musical, como herramientas que coadyuvan a la preservación del legado cultural. De esta forma, se busca presentar un acercamiento teórico al concepto de musicología y la forma en que ha contribuido, como disciplina de la teoría musical, al estudio histórico y contextual de la sociedad y la cultura, a través de la explicación y análisis de las composiciones musicales surgidas en los diferentes momentos de la historia de la humanidad. Como elemento de trabajo de la musicología se presenta el análisis musical, ejercicio que abarca aspectos tales como: procedencia, historia y entorno político-social, en un marco global de la obra, así como la manera en la que el autor o compositor logra condensar estos episodios en una sola pieza musical con base en aspectos subjetivos y objetivos. La interpretación instrumental de obras varía según estén dispuestas para solista o para agrupaciones, en relación con los elementos de tipo musicológico y filosófico que las integran, y que desde el punto de vista del análisis musical tendrían que ser de conocimiento del intérprete. Esta fase de investigación es totalmente de corte teórico hermenéutico, por cuanto todo el abordaje se somete a los conceptos de análisis musical y musicología, y a experiencias que investigadores han realizado en este campo.
