description When demonstrating itself great difficulty of the learning of the multiplication and the division in students of the degree sixth of the Technical Institute Santo Tomás de Aquino de Duitama, becomes necessary to determine the causes of this problem and its possible solutions, with the hypothesis that the problem can be due to the lack of methodology or didactic strategies, it was made an investigation looking for to correct the learning problem. For it, educational ones were polled seven  of the area of mathematics  and  190 students of the degree sixth, soon the collected information was analyzed and a pedagogical proposal based on the planning, design and application of educative factories was constructed, by means of the resolution of problems, using the method of the four passages of Polya, which was applied to 48 students, being that the academic yield of them in the first period, improved respect to the previous years substantially, also the work of education to the educational ones was facilitated. This investigation welcomes the theories on learning of Piaget, Carretero, those of planning for the learning of Ander-Egg, those of learning by resolution of problems of Polya and the one of the Educative Maya Factory Betancourt.

Al evidenciarse gran dificultad del aprendizaje de la multiplicación y la división en estudiantes del grado sexto del Instituto Técnico Santo Tomás de Aquino de Duitama, se hace necesario determinar las causas de este problema y sus posibles soluciones, con la hipótesis que el problema puede deberse a la falta de estrategias metodológicas o didácticas, se realizó  una investigación buscando subsanar el problema de aprendizaje. Para ello, se encuestaron siete docentes  del área de matemáticas  y  190 estudiantes del grado sexto, luego se analizó la información recolectada y se construyó una propuesta pedagógica fundamentada en la planificación, diseño y aplicación de unos talleres educativos, mediante la resolución de problemas, usando el método de los cuatro pasos de Polya, la cual se aplicó a 48 estudiantes, hallándose que el rendimiento académico de ellos en el primer periodo, mejoró sustancialmente respecto de los años anteriores, igualmente se facilitó la labor de enseñanza a los docentes.Esta investigación acoge las teorías sobre aprendizaje de Piaget-Carretero (2001), las de planificación para el aprendizaje de Ander-Egg (1996), las de aprendizaje por resolución de problemas de Polya y la del Taller Educativo de Maya Betancourt (1991).Palabras Clave: Aprendizaje, planificación, Resolución de problemas, taller educativo.AbstractWhen demonstrating itself great difficulty of the learning of the multiplication and the division in students of the degree sixth of the Technical Institute Santo Tomás de Aquino de Duitama, becomes necessary to determine the causes of this problem and its possible solutions, with the hypothesis that the problem can be due to the lack of methodology or didactic strategies, it was made an investigation looking for to correct the learning problem.
