Con el propósito de dar cuenta del avance en cuanto al desarrollo del conocimiento en el área de administración, se pretende dar una primera mirada de la revisión sobre los diversos aportes que sobre el tema ha venido surgiendo. En consecuencia en este documento se pretende hacer un recorrido a través de la conceptualización de la administración desde la perspectiva organizacional y pedagógica, por lo tanto se presenta en cuatro partes: la primera se relaciona con una revisión acerca del concepto de administración, la forma como se abordan las teorías administrativa y organizacional, la segunda da cuenta de la pedagogía de la enseñanza de la administración, en la tercera se presenta una discusión en torno a la revisión bibliográfica realizada, donde se dan a conocer diversas inquietudes que proporcionan elementos para la formulación de proyectos de investigación y finalmente se muestran unos puntos de llegada que abren el camino hacia nuevas perspectivas y enfoques acerca del tema.Palabras clave: Administración, organización, teoría, pedagogía.
