The research will serve as input for decision-making to maximize the value of production units, looking for their positioning in the market, developing products and services that guarantee the generation of liquidity, improvement of profitability for owners and optimization of financing. In this context, we propose to develop the economical and financial evaluation of the onion bulb crop in the district region of Alto Chicamocha, one of the largest onion bulb producers in Boyacá. This research work is focused on the identification of the profitability and analysis of variables in the productions under a business view, using a descriptive methodology, based on primary data collection through questionnaires and interviews to producers and directors in 2011. This research work was oriented under the direction of Gestión Empresarial research group, from Escuela de Administraciòn de Empresas Agropecuarias, as a contribution to the regional development. |

El cultivo de Cebolla de bulbo es importante como alternativa de generación de ingresos, por la gran cantidad de mano de obra que exige en las labores que en él se realizan y por la buena adaptación y viabilidad en los sistemas de cultivo propios del pequeño productor. Esta investigación sirve como insumo para la toma de decisiones, que maximicen el valor de las unidades productivas buscando su posicionamiento en el mercado. Así será posible desarrollar productos y servicios que garanticen la generación de liquidez, mejoren la rentabilidad para los propietarios y optimicen el financiamiento. En este contexto, se desarrolló la evaluación económico-financiera del cultivo de cebolla de bulbo, en el Distrito de Riego del Alto Chicamocha, principal productor en Boyacá de este producto. El estudio se centró en la identificación de la rentabilidad y análisis de las variables conexas en las producciones con visión empresarial, aplicando una metodología descriptiva, basada en la recolección de información primaria, por medio de cuestionarios y entrevistas a productores y directivos en el año 2011. El trabajo se estructuró desde el grupo de investigación Gestión Empresarial de la Escuela de Administración de Empresas Agropecuarias, como contribución al desarrollo regional.
