description The objective of this research was to determine stress and its derivations in postgraduate research professors during their incorporation to the National System of Researchers (SNI). Two questionnaires were designed: the first one on the Burnout Syndrome in Teachers and the second one on the Perceived Stress Scale. The sample was a convenience sample of 28 teacher-researchers. The information was treated from non-parametric descriptive statistics using SPSS software version 17.0. The results show that researchers suffer stress during their incorporation to the SNI, in the process, production and evaluation are difficult, but not impossible to achieve. The recurrence of stress allows the emergence of burnout; with problems of mental fatigue, physical-emotional exhaustion, anxiety, anguish, insomnia, among others, which affects the health of the researcher. It is concluded that stress in researchers triggers a series of emotional problems and feelings, which if poorly addressed lead to disease situations such as diabetes, blood pressure, and others. It is recommended to implement a program on work-related stress for research professors, in order to face problems derived from stress and increase performance in the quality of production.

El objetivo de esta investigación fue determinar el estrés y sus derivaciones en los docentes investigadores de posgrado durante su incorporación al Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI). Se diseñaron dos cuestionarios: el primero sobre el Síndrome Burnout del Profesorado y el segundo de Escala de Estrés Percibido. La muestra fue a conveniencia de 28 docentes-investigadores. La información se trató desde la estadística descriptiva no paramétrica mediante el Software SPSS en su versión 17.0. Los resultados muestran que los investigadores padecen estrés durante su incorporación al SNI, en el proceso, la producción y evaluación resultan difíciles, más no imposibles de lograr. La recurrencia del estrés permite el surgimiento del burnout; con problemas de fatiga mental, desgaste físico-emocional, ansiedad, angustia, insomnio, entre otros, que afecta la salud del investigador. Se concluye que el estrés en los investigadores desencadena una serie de problemas emocionales y de sentimientos, que si son mal atendidas llevan a situaciones de enfermedad como la diabetes, presión arterial, entre otras. Se recomienda implementar un programa sobre estrés laboral de atención a docentes investigadores, para afrontar problemas derivados del estrés y elevar el rendimiento en la calidad de la producción.   O objetivo desta pesquisa permite determinar o estresse e suas derivações de docentes pesquisadores de pós-graduação, durante sua incorporação ao Sistema Nacional de Pesquisadores (SNI). A metodologia permitiu a aplicação de dois questionários, Teacher Burnout e Perceived Stress Scale, a uma amostra de conveniência de 28 professores-pesquisadores. As informações foram tratadas a partir de estatística descritiva não paramétrica com SPSS em sua versão V. 17.0. Os resultados proporcionam uma produção de qualidade para avaliação no SNI, solucionando e dificultando o processo com a presença de estresse laboral, cuja recorrência permite o surgimento do burnout; com problemas de fadiga mental, esgotamento físico-emocional, ansiedade, angústia, insônia, entre outros, que afetam a saúde. Conclui-se que existe algum grau de estresse laboral e/ou seus encaminhamentos por parte do professor investigador, recomenda-se a implantação de um programa de estresse laboral acompanhando as causas, sintomas e consequências, prefigurando um mediador de conflitos com um Centro de Atenção pesquisar docentes, lidar com problemas derivados do estresse e elevar o desempenho na qualidade da produção para incorporação ao SNI.
