Preguntarse por la práctica docente, sus formas y posibilidades implica preguntarse por los sentidos de la pedagogía y las maneras de asumirse en la cotidianidad escolar. Lejos de procurar definiciones cerradas, el presente artículo aporta algunos elementos dentro de la discusión como invitación a situar los terrenos de la pregunta contemporánea por la pedagogía y su necesaria actualización. Para ello, inicia tratando las relaciones entre educación, pedagogía y didáctica para luego abordar la pregunta epistemológica frente a la pedagogía, su vínculo con la filosofía y el lugar del maestro. Finalmente, se reconoce la pedagogía como campo en y de constitución. Interrogar-se sobre a prática do ensino, as suas formas e possibilidades implica interrogar-se sobre os significados da pedagogia e as formas como esta é assumida na vida quotidiana da escola. Longe de procurar definições fechadas, este artigo contribui com alguns elementos para a discussão como um convite a situar o terreno da questão contemporânea da pedagogia e da sua necessária actualização. Para tal, começa por tratar das relações entre educação, pedagogia e didáctica e depois aborda a questão epistemológica relativa à pedagogia, a sua ligação com a filosofia e o lugar do professor. Finalmente, reconhece a pedagogia como um campo dentro e de constituição.
