description In the Faculty of Education, since its beginnings, the educational approach has been centered on humanism, especially Catholic[1], but there has been a change since the late twentieth century and early twenty-first century in the construction of a critical humanism[2], based on strategies of various schools and pedagogical models.  For the XXI century, our approach in the conception of education[3] we conceive it as a formative, humanistic-critical-dialogical-inclusive process, built from the historical singularity of the political culture, with social responsibility, based on the principle of the integrality of the human being[4], which is developed, in our case, in the educational institution of the UPTC.

En la Facultad de Educación, desde sus inicios, el enfoque educativo se ha centrado en el humanismo, especialmente el católico[1], pero se ha dado un cambio desde finales del siglo XX y comienzos del XXI en la construcción de un humanismo crítico[2], sustentado en estrategias de varias escuelas y modelos pedagógicos.  Para el sigo XXI, nuestro enfoque en la concepción de la educación[3] lo concebimos como el proceso formativo, humanístico-crítico- dialógico-incluyente, construido desde la singularidad histórica de la cultura política, con responsabilidad social, sustentado en el principio de la integralidad del ser humano[4], que se desarrolla, en nuestro caso, en la institución educativa de la UPTC.   [1]  Ocampo conceptualiza el humanismo como el “conjunto de tendencias espirituales y filosóficas que tiene por objeto el desarrollo de las cualidades esenciales del hombre”.
