La relación entre sistema político, intelectuales y el debate académico tuvo un vínculo muy estrecho en México, tanto que determinaba el debate sobre las teorías “hegemónicas” a emplear en el ambiente académico del país, por lo que cuando se agota la vigencia de los referentes políticos autoritarios, se modificanlas relaciones académicas y se abre la posibilidad de incorporar nuevas teorías para explicar lo social.
