El presente artículo identifica el radio de acción y protección jurídica que se ha abordado para el derecho a la salud en el campo del Sistema Interamericano de Protección de Derechos Humanos, como también su amparo en el escenario constitucional, legal y jurisprudencial en el caso colombiano, cuya finalidad radica en establecer el alcance conceptual e interpretativo de la figura de la transmutación del derecho a la salud a partir de las esferas convencionales y jurisprudenciales, dilucidando así la evolución de este derecho desde su naturaleza y carácter prestacional, hasta la incorporación de su contenido fundamental, autónomo, asistencial y de inmediato cumplimiento.
