From this review the perspectives and meanings of people regarding the theme or central axis of this article, can vary according to various factors such as: Age, profession, context, sex, and sports level, among others. This is why, while some people have negative attitudes and biases in relation to sexual diversity, other studies also show a positive change towards LGBTI sexual minorities thanks to theoretical enrichment and recognition of this community by institutions social, political, and cultural. On the other hand, it can be concluded that today the sports field continues to be strongly rooted in heterosexist thoughts that delimit the participation of this group, however, it should be noted that a positive change is already observed on the part of different organizations, materialized by the recognition and acceptance of the participation of LGBTI people, in the sports context, as an essential part of their free development. |

El artículo aborda diferentes temáticas para poder entender, comprender y situar a la comunidad LGBTI en cuanto a la actividad física y el deporte, con base a los diferentes estudios que se analizaron tanto a nivel Nacional como internacional, en los últimos años. A partir de esta revisión se puede evidenciar que las perspectivas y significados de las personas en cuanto al tema o eje central de este artículo, pueden variar según diversos factores como: La edad, la profesión, el contexto, el sexo, el nivel deportivo, entre otros. Razón por la cual, mientras que algunas personas, tienen actitudes negativas y sesgos en relación con la diversidad sexual, también se evidencia en otros estudios un cambio positivo frente a las minorías sexuales LGBTI gracias al enriquecimiento teórico y el reconocimiento de esta comunidad, por instituciones sociales, políticas y culturales. Por otra parte, se puede concluir que hoy en día el ámbito deportivo sigue estando fuertemente arraigado por pensamientos heterosexistas que delimitan la participación de este colectivo, sin embargo, cabe destacar que ya se observa un cambio positivo por parte de diferentes organizaciones, materializado por el reconocimiento y aceptación de la participación de las personas LGBTI, en el contexto deportivo, como parte esencial de su libre desarrollo.
