description This analysis and reflection work about the life, personality and the Juana Paula Manson’s works, offers the possibility to know chronologically the most transcendent milestones of her life, her exiles and her productions. To understand the importance of the contributions of this writer, journalist and also an awkward and coherent teacher of the nineteenth century, there were analyzed her works referred to the education, to the defense of the woman as for her capacities and rights. Also the letters sent to her friends prominent figures of the epoch have been taken into consideration, especially, those ones to Domingo Faustino Sarmiento and to Mary Mann, the last documents showed, with an intimate tone, that woman in her fights, often without fruits. The education in the kindergartens and in the Primary level constitutes the axle of her studies and her educational professional performance, thus she wrote pedagogic articles, in which she analyzes and she advises on all the aspects referred to the education, since the political lines until the didactic and psychological considerations to develop the education on scientific bases. The author demonstrates to have a clear historical conscience of her time, for this reason, through her works it is possible to establish the relations of the historical, cultural and social context, among Argentina, America and Europe.

Este trabajo de an&aacute,lisis y reflexi&oacute,n sobre la vida, la personalidad y las obras de Juana Paula Manso, &nbsp,ofrece la posibilidad de conocer cronol&oacute,gicamente los hitos m&aacute,s trascendentes de su vida, sus &nbsp,exilios y sus producciones. Para comprender la importancia de los aportes de esta escritora, periodista y docente comprometida, coherente y apasionada del siglo XIX, se analizaron sus obras referidas a la educaci&oacute,n, a la defensa de la mujer en cuanto a sus capacidades y derechos. Tambi&eacute,n se tuvieron en cuenta las cartas remitidas a sus amigos y personajes de la &eacute,poca, en especial, a Domingo Faustino Sarmiento y a Mary Mann, estos &uacute,ltimos documentos muestran, con un tono intimista, a la mujer en sus luchas, muchas veces sin frutos. La educaci&oacute,n en los Jardines de Infantes y en el nivel Primario constituye el eje de sus estudios y desempe&ntilde,o docente profesional, para ello escribi&oacute, art&iacute,culos pedag&oacute,gicos, en los cuales analiza y hace recomendaciones sobre todos los aspectos referidos a la educaci&oacute,n, desde las l&iacute,neas pol&iacute,ticas hasta las consideraciones did&aacute,cticas y psicol&oacute,gicas para desarrollar la ense&ntilde,anza sobre bases cient&iacute,ficas. La autora demuestra poseer una clara conciencia hist&oacute,rica de su tiempo, por ello, a trav&eacute,s de sus obras se pueden establecer las relaciones del contexto hist&oacute,rico, cultural y social, entre Argentina, Am&eacute,rica y Europa.
