In the second one, it is highlighted how for two modernity thinkers: Kant and Herbart, freedom is the main pedagogical purpose, for which it is necessary to recognize man as an educable and formable being. It is concluded that freedom, as critical perspective, has difficulties of concretion in the current educational practice; but from the dialogue of the pedagogy with others disciplines it is possible to glimpse opportunities for its deployment. |

El propósito de este artículo es analizar las posibilidades de crítica y libertad del sujeto en el contexto escolar. El método seleccionado fue la revisión documental. El escrito se estructura en tres partes. En la primera, se realiza un acercamiento a la idea de antropología pedagógica, con la intención de mostrar su relevancia en términos educativos. En la segunda, se pone de manifiesto cómo para dos pensadores de la modernidad: Kant y Herbart, la libertad es el fin pedagógico por excelencia, para lo que es necesario reconocer al hombre como ser educable y formable. Se concluye que la libertad, como perspectiva crítica, presenta dificultades de concreción en la práctica escolar actual; pero desde el diálogo de la pedagogía con otras disciplinas es posible entrever oportunidades para su despliegue.
