This article will examine staff ranks in the Mint, along with workers’ hierarchicalization and functions.Likewise, in the irst period we will study the social and administrative origins of particular treasurers, kinship relationships and the problems caused by delegating jobs. Finally, we will refer to the conlicts and irregularities that led to organize several visits in order to maintain control over the civil servants in charge of the Mint. |

Uno de los aspectos que merecen ser considerados para comprender el funcionamiento de la Casa de la Moneda y la mentalidad sobre la organización administrativa de la ceca de Santafé, corresponde a la organización del personal que laboraba allí durante las dos etapas operíodos que caracterizaron la Casa de la Moneda. Estos periodos tienen que ver con la relación entre la Ceca y la Corona. El primer período se dio entre 1620 y 1753, y el segundo período entre 1753 y 1816. En este artículo se examinarán los rangos del personal, la jerarquización y funciones de los trabajadores. Igualmente, para elprimer período nos aproximaremos a los orígenes sociales y administrativos de los tesoreros particulares, las relaciones de parentesco y los problemas generados por la costumbre de la delegación del cargo. Por último, se hará alusión a los conflictos e irregularidades que llevaron a la organización de diversas visitas para mantener un control sobre los funcionarios encargados de la Casa.
