description In Maria Auxiliadora School, located in Villapinzón municipality, it is proposed a research work based on the principles of image pedagogy – a proposal aiming at the education of sensitivity of students’ way of looking in order to generate critical thinking development, broadening students’ horizons of self-knowledge as subjects of their own environment, of the complex media world around them, and of the globalized world related to that environment. Thus, this paper states the importance of the education of students’ way of looking at aspects that in daily life are overlooked, or that, even worse, are not understood. Then, some reflections concerning image reading, its importance in current society, the vertiginous way in which they develop, the need to integrate and take advantage of images as a knowledge tool and subject, the relevance of education towards analytic reading of implicit messages in the new codes imposed by media, and the overcoming of the dichotomy between text reading and image reading arise.

En la Escuela Normal Superior María Auxiliadora, ubicada en el municipio de Villapinzón, se propone un trabajo investigativo basado en los postulados de la pedagogía de la imagen, un planteamiento encaminado a la educación de la sensibilidad de la mirada de los educandos para generar el desarrollodel pensamiento crítico, ampliando los horizontes de la comprensión de sí mismos, como sujetos de su propio entorno, del complejo mundo de las comunicaciones que los circunda, y del mundo globalizado que involucra ese entorno. Este trabajo plantea la educación de la mirada del estudiante hacia aspectos que en el diario vivir pasan inadvertidos oque, peor aún, no logran ser comprendidos.Surgen entonces reflexiones acerca de la lectura de las imágenes, su importancia en la sociedad actual, el vértigo con que se desarrollan, la necesidad de integrar y aprovechar la imagen como herramienta y sujeto de conocimiento, la relevancia de la educación hacia la lectura analítica de los mensajes implícitos en los nuevos códigos que imponen losmedios, y la desmitificación de la dicotomía entre la lectura de textos y la lectura de imágenes. Il a été proposé, à l’École Normale Supérieure María Auxiliadora, située dans la Municipalité de Villapinzón, un travail de recherche basé sur les postulats de la pédagogie de l’image, une approche tendant à l’éducation de la sensibilité du regard des élèves afin d’entraîner le développement de la pensée critique, en élargissant les horizons de la compréhension d’eux-mêmes, comme sujets de leur propre environnement, du monde complexe des communications qui les entoure, et du monde globalisé qui implique cet environnement. Ce travail envisage l’éducation du regard de l’étudiant sur des aspects qui passent inaperçus dans la quotidienneté ou qui, bien pire, n’arrivent pas à être compris. Surgissent donc des réflexions au sujet de la lecture des images, de leur importance dans la société actuelle, le vertige avec lequel elles se développent, le besoin d’intégrer et de profiter de l’image comme outil et sujet de connaissance, la relevance de l’éducation vers la lecture analytique des messages implicites dans les nouveaux codes imposés par les médias, et la démystification de la dichotomie entre la lecture de texto et la lecture d’images. Na Escola Normal Superior María Auxiliadora do município de Villapinzón se propõe um trabalho investigativo baseado nos postulados da pedagogia da imagem, um plano encaminhado à educação da sensibilidade da mirada dos alunos para gerar o desenvolvimento do pensamento crítico, ampliando os horizontes da sua compreensão como sujeitos do seu próprio entorno, do complexo mundo das comunicações que os circunda, e do mundo globalizado que envolve esse entorno. Este trabalho projeta a educação da mirada do aluno a aspectos que no cotidiano passam inadvertidos ou que, pior ainda não logram ser compreendidos. Surgem então reflexões sobre a leitura das imagens, sua importância na sociedade atual, a velocidade do seu desenvolvimento, a necessidade de integrar e aproveitar a imagem como instrumento e sujeito de conhecimento, a relevância da educação para a leitura analítica das mensagens implícitas nos novos códigos que impõem os médios, e a desmistificação da dicotomia entre a leitura de textos e a leitura de imagens.
