Se presenta una síntesis de la narrativa del relato pedagógico de 1910, en el contexto de la Celebración del Centenario de los Sucesos de Mayo articulada sobre algunos ejes temáticos, que constituyen el campo educativo: la evolución normativa y la dinámica burocrática, las prácticas editoriales, protagonistas de gestiones nacionalizadoras y la alternativa de otras voces.Se han usado como fuentes editas, los informes y publicaciones oficiales (memorias y El Monitor Común), mensajes ministeriales y, como bibliografía, textos y artículos de especialistas en historia de la educación y estudios culturales.
