description | This text is framed as a research project of the group “Education and Human Development” 1, with the objective of analyzing the way of how the social dimension of the gender in the field of the Technological University of Pereira. It was a fundamental way in the participation of gender positioning and the power relationships. The mobilization of women in the first decades of the twentieth century, by the right of access to higher education and the creation of the Technological University of Pereira in 1958 facilitated the women’s access from “Gran Caldas” region to the university. The pioneering experience began with the engineering field contrasting with trends observed in other universities in the country. Then with the opening of new academic programs with diversified areas of their professionalism, in the lapse of time since the seventies until turn of the century period. The feminization of enrolment and the areas of knowledge in which participates as a student, plays cultural patterns and traditional social in relation to the educational development of women. There were repeated models of teaching and management fields that concerning the dimension of gender equity among the university teachers. Based on the interdisciplinary experience on the construction of the female thinking that arrived in the seventies, it is performed an exploratory analysis onthe journey of this object of study in the academic context, and the relationship between the academic woven and the relationship between the academy and the women’s movement in the region. |

Este texto es elaborado en el marco de un proyecto de investigación del grupo “Educación y Desarrollo Humano”[1], con el objetivo de analizar la forma en que se teje la dimensión social del género en el ámbito de la Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira, como elemento que participa de manera fundamental en las relaciones de poder. La movilización de las mujeres en las décadas iniciales del Siglo XX, por el derecho a acceder a la educación superior y la creación de la Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira en 1958 facilitaron el ingreso de las mujeres de la región del “Gran Caldas” a la universidad. La experiencia pionera se realiza en el campo de la ingeniería contrastando con tendencias observadas en otras universidades del país. Posteriormente con la apertura de nuevos programas se diversifican las áreas de su profesionalización, en el lapso de tiempo transcurrido desde los años setenta hasta el período finisecular. La feminización de la matricula y las áreas de conocimiento en las cuales participa como estudiante reproduce patrones culturales y sociales tradicionales con relación a la formación de las mujeres. Estos modelos se replican en el campo docente y administrativo de la universidad, en lo que se refiere a la dimensión de equidad de género entre los docentes universitarios. Basándose en la experiencia interdisciplinaria sobre la construcción del pensamiento femenino que desde los años setenta irrumpe en esta universidad, se realiza un análisis exploratorio sobre la travesía de este objeto de estudio en el contexto académico, y la relación tejida entre la academia y el movimiento social de mujeres en la región.
