Starting from the resources owned by the farming unit, calculations of water requests of the plant, taking into account the crop evapotranspiration, the irrigation planning with certain factors on the basis of effective storage of soils. Two different technologies for the design are presented: hard-wired and programmable logic. The hard-wired logic system is developed as an automatic cyclical sequence with four work timed stages; on the other hand, the programmable logic controller PLC used, is the Easy-512-DC of Moller, which is provided with eight digital inputs and four relay outputs, programmed in Ladder according to the sequence of the process. |

Este documento presenta el diseño para automatizar un sistema de riego por aspersión en un cultivo de cebolla de junco, en el que se plantean los parámetros necesarios, se establecen diferencias, ventajas y resultados en relación con el riego tradicional utilizado en la región de Tota, departamento de Boyacá. Se parte del inventario de recursos que posee la unidad agrícola, del cálculo de los requerimientos hídricos de la planta, teniendo en cuenta la evapotranspiración del cultivo, la planeación de los riegos con factores determinados con base en el almacenamiento efectivo de los suelos. Se presentan dos tecnologías diferentes para el diseño: lógica cableada y lógica programable. El sistema por lógica cableada se desarrolla como una secuencia automática, cíclica, de cuatro etapas con temporizados a trabajo, por otra parte, el controlador lógico programable PLC utilizado, es el Easy-512- DC de Moller, el cual viene provisto de ocho entradas digitales y cuatro salidas a relé, programado en lenguaje Ladder de acuerdo con la secuencia del proceso.
