There have been five variables, one of them considered dependent: the participation rate on the market, others such as: per capita consumption, trade balance, exchange rate, GDP per capita provide a pressure on the first, which causes an increase or a decrease in the competitive condition of the sector. |

La globalización ha llevado a la conformación de un mercado mundial, donde la competitividad juega un papel fundamental. La inexistencia de un entorno empresarial que por sí solo pueda ser eficaz para alcanzar la competitividad estructural, ha motivado esfuerzos para construir colectivamente un ambiente, donde participan las empresas, el Estado, las asociaciones y otros actores sociales, traduciendo esta interacción en la capacidad del sector productivo para participar en la dinámica de los mercados globales. En el marco del concepto de competitividad sistémica, se hace un análisis de la interacción entre algunas variables y su impacto en la competitividad del sector de la papa en Colombia. Se han observado cinco variables, una de ellas considerada dependiente: el índice de participación en el mercado, las demás: consumo per cápita, balanza comercial, tasa de cambio, PIB per cápita, ofrecen una presión sobre la primera, que se refleja en aumento o disminución de la condición competitiva del sector.
