The final sample consisted of 434 teachers. A questionnaire on the current educational situation in rural and urban schools of Boyacá was used for data collection. The content validity of the questionnaire was analyzed through the Expert Judgment Technique. As for the internal consistency, Cronbach alpha was 0.79. The main results revealed significant differences in the relationship between teachers and students -better in the rural area- as well as in the needs -rural institutions had higher requirements. |

Este trabajo explicita algunas fortalezas y debilidades del ámbito rural respecto al urbano desde las apreciaciones de los docentes, a partir de algunos aspectos relacionados con el contexto escolar y educativo en las provincias de Centro, Tundama y Sugamuxi del departamento de Boyacá, asimismo se presenta su opinión sobre las necesidades institucionales. La muestra final estuvo compuesta por 434 maestros. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó el cuestionario sobre la situación educativa actual en los centros de educación de las zonas rurales y urbanas del departamento de Boyacá. Se analizó la validez de contenido del cuestionario empleando la técnica del juicio de expertos. En cuanto a la consistencia interna se obtuvo un coeficiente α de cronbach de .79. Los principales resultados revelaron diferencias significativas en la relación de maestros y estudiantes, siendo mejores en el ámbito rural, así como en las necesidades, en donde las instituciones rurales presentaron mayores requerimientos. Ce travail explique certains points forts et certaines faiblesses du milieu rural par rapport au milieu urbain selon le point de vue des enseignants, concernant certains aspects en rapport avec le contexte scolaire et éducatif dans les provinces de Centro, Tundama et Sugamuxi du département de Boyacá, de plus leur opinion des besoins institutionnels est présentée. L’échantillon final a été composé par 434 maîtres. Pour la collecte des données on a utilisé un questionnaire sur la situation éducative actuelle dans les centres d’éducation des zones rurales et urbaines du département de Boyacá. La validité du contenu du questionnaire a été réalisée en employant comme technique l’avis d’un groupe d’experts. Concernant la cohérence interne on a obtenu un coefficient α de Cronbach de .79. Les résultats principaux ont montré des différences significatives concernant les relations entre maîtres et étudiants, celles-ci étant meilleures dans le milieu rural, ainsi que dans les nécessités où les institutions rurales ont présenté des exigences plus importantes. A amostra final esteve composta por 434 professores. Para a coleta dos dados utilizo-se o questionário sobre a situação educativa atual nos centros de educação das zonas rurais e urbanas do Departamento de Boyacá. Analisou-se a validez do conteúdo do questionário usando a técnica do juízo de expertos. No que tem a ver com a consistência interna encontrou-se um coeficiente α de cronbach de .79. Os principais resultados revelam diferencias significativas na relação de professores e alunos, sendo melhores no âmbito rural, assim como nas necessidades, onde as instituições rurais apresentaram maiores requerimentos.
