description This article aims to make an analysis of the conceptual foundations in Nussbaum and Cortina’s work, according to which education in bioethics can be used to promote the exercise of citizenship in undergraduates. In order to successfully carry out this research, in the first part it is developed a reflection on what bioethics is, and more specifically education in bioethics. The second and third sections show a reflection on the conceptual elements of Nussbaum and Cortina which could be used by education in bioethics for citizenship formation. Finally, such elements and their importance to bioethics are analyzed.

El artículo pretende hacer un análisis sobre las bases conceptuales en la obra de Nussbaum y Cortina que puede utilizar la educación en bioética para promover el ejercicio de la ciudadanía en los estudiantes de pregrado. Para poder llevar a buen término esta investigación, en la primera parte se desarrolla una reflexión sobre qué es la bioética y más específicamente la educación en bioética. En la segunda y tercera parte se presenta una reflexión sobre los elementos conceptuales de Nussbaum y Cortina que podría utilizar la educación en bioética para la formación de la ciudadanía y, por último, se analizan estos aportes y su importancia para la bioética. Cet article vise à faire une analyse des bases conceptuelles de l’ouvrage de Nussbaum et Cortina qui peut utiliser l’éducation en bioéthique pour promouvoir l’exercice de la citoyenneté chez les étudiants de premier cycle. Pour pouvoir mener à bien cette recherche, dans la première partie on développe une réflexion à propos de ce qu’est la bioéthique et plus spécifiquement l’éducation en bioéthique. Dans la seconde et la troisième partie, on présente une réflexion sur les éléments conceptuels de Nussbaum et Cortina que l’éducation en bioéthique pourrait utiliser pour la formation de la citoyenneté et, pour terminer, on analyse ces apports et leurs importances pour la bioéthique. O artigo faz uma análise sobre as bases conceituais na obra de Nussbaum e Cortina que pode utilizar a educação em bioética para promover o exercício da cidadania nos alunos de graduação. Para chegar a bom término esta pesquisa na primeira parte se desenvolve uma reflexão sobre o que é a bioética e mais especificamente a educação em bioética. Na segunda e terceira parte apresenta-se uma reflexão sobre os elementos conceituais de Nussbam e Cortina que poderia utilizar a educação em bioética para a formação da cidadania e, no final, analisam-se estes aportes e sua importância para a bioética.
