Colombia viene asomándose a un nuevo periodo de su historia y de su vida institucional con miras a transitar el camino civilizado, contrario al de la barbarie. Los acuerdos con los voceros de las Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia –FARC– marcarán el inicio del fin del largo tramo de más de sesenta años en los que se ha perdido el respeto por el derecho a la vida, y en forma paralela se ha extendido la cultura de la violencia.
