Es evidente que los márgenes de maniobra de las multinacionales han alterado las propias soberanías estatales y por ello es menester controlar los desafueros. Sin embargo, los mecanismos propuestos en el régimen internacional distan de ser realmente eficientes y parece que más bien prohíjan las desviaciones, por lo cual es necesario trabajar arduamente en la limitación del accionar de estas empresas que han causado daños ambientales severos.
