El pensamiento jurídico y las ideas son el resultado de procesos de larga reflexión y una maduración mesurada, ideas expuestas y defendidas en foros y escritos, pero siempre esas ideas ocurren en torno a realidades sociales que influyen en ese proceso, las ideas y su análisis detenido, son el resultado del método deductivo. La idea de ocuparnos de los grandes juristas, no fue otra que la de rescatar su pensamiento, su obra y su legado, cuyo ideario sigue aún vigente. Luis Carlos Pérez es uno de ellos, se le conoce como el “teórico del delito político”, autor de una monumental obra del derecho penal colombiano, analizada en otros países.
