Description
Summary:New Twentieth Century Mexican Writers Introduced by Themselves was an editorial project developed between 1966 and 1968 by Rafael Giménez Siles and Emmanuel Carballo, who recognized in autobio graphy an ideal instrument to build the image of certain writers in view of an emerging interest from the reading public. This collection, which called upon eleven young writers (under 35 years of age) to write their autobiography, is important not only because of the role that the individual texts occupy in the work of these authors, but also as a milestone in the Mexican autobiographical tradition.
