description This text is the result of a research process carried out with the people of the municipality of Galapa, in the Department of Atlántico, about their cultural heritage which allowed to open spaces for dialogue and to contribute through divulgation and education about the cultural reality of such territory. The text describes the experience thanks to which spaces such as the museum and the library were used as contact zones, so that different group could talk about the everyday activities that are now considered as their cultural heritage. Through activities that criticize the current methodologies of inventory and record, it was demonstrated that effective participation of civil society can be gained in order to foster a pluralistic dialogue – instead of an academic and institutional monologue – which helps to identify the way in which communities interpret, explain and assume their traditional knowledge; and then design tools contributing to transmission and disclosure of such knowledge.

Este texto es el resultado de un proceso investigativo con la comunidad del municipio de Galapa, Atlántico, sobre su patrimonio cultural, el cual permitió abrir espacios de diálogo y contribuir con la divulgación y pedagogía sobre la realidad cultural de dicho territorio. Se describe la experiencia a través de la cual se aprovecharon espacios como el museo y la biblioteca como zonas de contacto, para que diferentes colectivos hablaran sobre los quehaceres cotidianos que ahora son considerados su patrimonio cultural. A partir de actividades que critican las metodologías actuales de inventario y de registro, se demostró que es posible conseguir la participación efectiva de la comunidad para construir un diálogo pluralista —en lugar de un monólogo académico e institucional— que ayude a identificar la forma como las comunidades interpretan, explican y asumen sus conocimientos tradicionales, para luego diseñar herramientas que contribuyan a la transmisión y divulgación de dichos conocimientos. Ce texte est le résultat d’un processus de recherche avec la communauté de la municipalité de Galapa située dans le département d’Átlantico, à propos de leur patrimoine culturel. Tel processus a permis d’ouvrir des espaces de dialogue et d’y contribuer au moyen de la divulgation et la pédagogie de la réalité culturelle de ce territoire. On y décrit l’expérience grâce à laquelle des espaces, tels que le musée et la bibliothèque, ont été utilisés comme des zones de contact; pour que les différents groupes parlent sur les travaux quotidiens, aujourd’hui considérés comme leur patrimoine culturel. Partant de certaines activités critiquant les méthodologies actuelles d’inventaire et d’archivage, on a démontré qu’il est possible de faire participer la communauté d’une manière effective afin de construire un dialogue pluraliste – au lieu d’un monologue académique et institutionnel - qui aide à identifier la façon dont les communautés interprètent, expliquent et assument leur connaissance traditionnelle pour ensuite concevoir des outils contribuant à la transmission et la divulgation de cette connaissance. Este texto é o resultado de uma pesquisa com a comunidade do município de Galapa, Atlântico, sobre seu património cultural, o qual permitiu abrir espaços de diálogo e contribuir com a divulgação e pedagogia sobre a realidade cultural de dito território. Descreve-se a experiência através da qual se aproveitaram espaços como o museu e a biblioteca como zonas de contato, para que diferentes coletivos falassem sobre os afazeres quotidianos que agora são considerados seu património cultural. A partir de atividades que criticam as metodologias atuais de inventário e de registro, se demonstrou que é possível conseguir a participação efetiva da comunidade para construir um diálogo pluralista - em lugar de um monólogo académico e institucional- que ajude a identificar a forma como as comunidades interpretam, explicam e assumem seus conhecimentos tradicionais, para depois desenhar ferramentas que contribuam à transmissão e divulgação de ditos conhecimentos.
