description In the continent’s current socio-political situation, there is a trend towards war, xenophobia, hate, exclusion, terror, and an understanding of others as “enemies”. This panorama reveals expressions of violence caused by the imposition of power that ignores diversity-based rights. This article shows the findings and the pedagogical challenges derived from a qualitative research project using the documentary method and including an analysis of more than forty documents. It also provides ways of rethinking the place education in and for peace in vocational training. One of the findings is the emerging didactic approach based on educational practices regarding peace in the context of social sciences at universities. Such approach focuses on addressing peace from the perspective of macro-social and socio-political conflicts instead of educating in and for peace in the context of everyday life

Este panorama revela expresiones de violencia con la imposición de poder que desconoce la garantía de derechos desde la diversidad. Este artículo muestra hallazgos y retos pedagógicos productos de la investigación cualitativa documental y el análisis de más de cuarenta documentos. También ofrece rutas para repensar el lugar de la educación en y para la paz en la formación profesional. Como hallazgo se observa el incipiente abordaje didáctico desde las prácticas educativas en torno a la paz en el contexto universitario de las ciencias sociales, el cual centra su atención en el abordaje de la paz en perspectiva de conflictos macrosociales y sociopolíticos, y no en formar desde y para la paz en el contexto de la vida cotidiana Dans la situation sociopolitique actuelle du continent, il existe une tendance vers la guerre, la xénophobie, la haine, l’exclusion, la terreur, et la conception des autres comme « des ennemis ». Ce panorama révèle des expressions de violence causées par l’imposition du pouvoir ne tenant pas compte des droits fondés sur la diversité. Cet article montre les résultats et les défis pédagogiques d’un projet de recherche documentaire de nature qualitative incluant l’analyse de plus de quarante documents. Il fournit également des moyens pour repenser la place de l’éducation à et pour la paix dans la formation professionnelle. L’un des résultats est l’approche didactique émergente qui repose sur des pratiques éducatives concernant la paix dans le contexte des sciences sociales à l’intérieur des universités. Cette approche porte principalement sur le traitement de la paix du point de vue de conflits macrosociaux et socio-politiques au lieu d’éduquer à partir de et à la paix dans la vie quotidienne Na atual conjuntura sócio-política do continente, observa-se uma tendência em direção à guerra, a xenofobia, o ódio, a exclusão, o terror e a significação do outro como "inimigo". Este panorama revela expressões de violência com a imposição de poder que desconhece a garantia de direitos desde a diversidade. Este artigo mostra achados e desafios pedagógicos produtos da pesquisa qualitativa documental e a análise de mais de quarenta documentos. Também oferece rotas para repensar o lugar da educação em e para a paz na formação profissional.
