En esta investigación se plantea, con base en el principio democrático constitucional, la necesidad de aumentar el número de miembros de la Cámarade Representantes colombiana, para lo cual se compara esta con la CámaraBaja de Argentina. También se estudia cómo ha cambiado la elección de losrepresentantes desde la vigencia de la Constitución de 1991, lo cual evidencia que con el cambio en la forma de la elección de esta corporación se le dio una mayor participación a los partidos minoritarios.
