La participación juvenil se ha presentado como uno de los aportes de avanzada dentro del discurso de oferta institucional, dirigido a los jóvenes. No obstante, este discurso desconoce el universo que le da significado a esta población, promoviendo una ruptura entre la participación y la movilización social. Loanterior propicia un distanciamiento entre la población y las instituciones que pretenden promocionar la participación juvenil, ruptura que tiene sus raíces en la falta de interés de estas instituciones por incluir de manera real a la población juvenil en sus agendas políticas.
