Tunnel was bored across green graphitic schists of Arquia Complex. All the road, included tunnel, is developed in curve with a 99,5 m radius, 5,63 m free height and a 10,0 m road wide, included over-wide and berms. Tunnel direction is approximately N-S and schists are oriented 35° in average toward NE and an slope of 40° toward SE. Analysis methodology used for design and construction consisted in performing tridimensional analysis using finite elements, carry out a pre-dimensional analysis for conventional methods, geological and geotechnical evaluation, an use of a sole shotcrete liner reinforced with metallic and polymeric fiber imbibing support lattice steel bar welded arches. |

Para el desarrollo vial de la Autopista del Café, entre las ciudades de Dosquebradas y Santa Rosa de Cabal, en el departamento de Risaralda, fue necesaria la construcción de un túnel de 134 m de longitud, que conecta con un puente helicoidal, permitiendo (ambas estructuras) vencer las diferencias topográficas existentes en la zona, y manteniendo la pendiente longitudinal en el 7,0%. El túnel se construyó sobre esquistos verdes y grafitosos del Complejo Arquía. En toda su longitud, es curvo, con un radio de 99,5 m. Internamente tiene una altura libre de 5,63 m y un ancho de rodadura de 10,0 m, incluidos sobreanchos y bermas. La dirección del túnel es aproximadamente N-S, y los esquistos están orientados 35° en promedio hacia el NE, con inclinación de 40° al SE. La metodología utilizada para el diseño y construcción consistió en analizar el macizo rocoso, en forma tridimensional, mediante métodos de elementos finitos, con posterioridad al predimensionamiento por metodología convencional y de evaluación de condiciones geológicas y geotécnicas, usando el criterio de revestimiento provisional y definitivo único, mediante utilización de concreto adicionado con fibras metálicas y micro fibras poliméricas, y la utilización de soporte de cerchas en celosía construidas con acero de refuerzo.
