| description | In Colombia, the practices of memory are the product of the action of multiple agents, mainly social movements, organizational platforms, and work collectives. In the case of Buenaventura (Colombia), these social agents have used a great variety of cultural and political repertoires in order to defend life and imagine possible futures in territories affected by structural violence and historical damage. This article identifies, resorting to a historical perspective, how many of the repertoires of resistance to violence in Buenaventura take place during the period between 1960 and 2018. This article is the result of a research exercise that was carried out in the city between 2016 and 2019, which implied the development of fieldwork, interviews with key actors in the territory, a review, and analysis of national and local press, as well as the systematization of information coming from secondary sources as well as personal and administrative documents. The main conclusion of this article is that the practices of memory in Buenaventura, more than having a cathartic function regarding individual or collective pain, contribute to the historical configuration of spatialities of resistance and the strengthening of the organizational fabrics in the defense of life and the territory. |

En Colombia, las prácticas de memoria son producto de la acción de múltiples actores, mayoritariamente movimientos sociales, plataformas organizativas y colectivos de trabajo. Para el caso de Buenaventura (Colombia) estos agentes sociales han utilizado una gran variedad de repertorios culturales y políticos para defender la vida e imaginar futuros posibles en territorios afectados por violencias estructurales y daños históricos. En este artículo identificamos, acudiendo a una perspectiva histórica, cómo muchos de los repertorios de resistencia a las violencias en Buenaventura acontecen en un período de tiempo que ubicamos entre 1960 y 2018. El artículo deriva de un ejercicio de investigación llevado a cabo en la ciudad entre 2016 y 2019, que implicó el desarrollo de trabajo de campo, la realización de entrevistas con actores claves en el territorio, revisión y análisis de prensa nacional y local, así como sistematización de información proveniente de literatura secundaria, documentos personales y organizativos. La principal conclusión del artículo es que las prácticas de memoria en Buenaventura, más que cumplir una función catártica frente al dolor individual o grupal, contribuyen a la configuración histórica de espacialidades de resistencia y al fortalecimiento de tejidos organizativos en defensa de la vida y el territorio. En Colombie, les pratiques de mémoire résultent de l’actionde multiples acteurs, notamment des mouvements sociaux,des organisations et des collectifs. En ce qui concerne le cas de Buenaventura (Colombie), ces agents sociaux ont fait appel à une grande variété de répertoires culturels et politiques visant à protéger la vie et à imaginer autrement l’avenir dans des territoires frappés par la violence tructurelle et historique. Cet article entend identifier les répertoires de résistance face aux violences à Buenaventura ayant eu lieu entre 1960 et 2018. Cette étude reprend des observations de terrain, des entretiens avec des acteurs importants dans le territoire, la révision et l’analyse de la presse nationale et locale, ainsi que la systématisation d’information provenant de sources secondaires, des documents personnels et des documents des organisations. La conclusion principale proposée dans cet article affirme que les pratiques de mémoire à Buenaventura, plutôt que d’accomplir une fonction cathartique face à la douleur individuelle ou collective, contribuent à la configuration historique des spécialités de résistance et le renforcement des tissus collectifs voulant protéger la vie et le territoire.
