Description
Summary:The objective of this paper is to analyze how the University of Guanajuato in Mexico has adopted environmental policies in line with national and international regulations in this area. It is a documentary research, with a descriptive approach and with no experimental design. The results of the study show that effectively the priorities defined in the international summits, the national policies established in Mexico and the environmental policies determined in the University of Guanajuato are aligned, however, there are several challenges that need to be overcome in order to advance towards the development of a University Social Responsibility. The main challenge is the change of culture to adopt environmental care practices, in addition to the need to recognize the efforts that people make continuously in their work for the benefit of the university community.
