description This text reflects on questions arising from the displacements associated with a philosophical project entitled Can philosophy be incorporated in Caxias? The public school bets on thinking, which is carried out with children from a public school located on a periphery in Brazil. This is a university extension project implemented by State University of Rio de Janeiro [UERJ in its Portuguese acronym]. It is coordinated by the Philosophy and Children Studies Group from the master’s program in Education at UERJ and it is developed in Municipal School Joaquim da Silva Peçanha in the municipality of Duque de Caxias in Rio de Janeiro; my workplace. We will try to make a brief foray into living this enigmatic exercise in a territory where the intention is to think about philosophy outside the university walls; a peripheral place where philosophy seems to have always been missing. However, when present, it affirms students’ and teachers’ strong, unique, and different voices as well as their thoughts on children in a Brazilian public school.

En este texto reflexionamos sobre preguntas surgidas de los desplazamientos ligados a un proyecto de filosofía con niños desarrollado en Brasil en una escuela pública periférica, titulado ¿En Caxias las filosofía encaja? La escuela pública le apuesta al pensamiento. El proyecto es de extensión universitaria y es llevado a cabo por la Universidad del Estado de Río de Janeiro [UERJ]. Es coordinado por el Núcleo de estudios de Filosofías e Infancias del programa de posgrado en Educación de la UERJ, y se desarrolla en la Escuela Municipal Joaquim da Silva Peçanha del Municipio de Duque de Caxias, Río de Janeiro, mi lugar de trabajo. Intentaremos hacer una breve incursión a la experiencia de vivir el enigmático ejercicio en un territorio donde le hemos apostado a pensar la filosofía por fuera de los muros de la universidad: un lugar periférico, donde la filosofía parece haber estado siempre ausente; sin embargo, cuando está presente, afirma las potentes, singulares y diversas voces y pensamientos infantiles de estudiantes y profesores de una escuela pública brasilera. Ce texte propose une réflexion sur des questions issues des déplacements associés à un projet de philosophie mené auprès des enfants d’une école publique périphérique au Brésil, intitulé La philosophie peut-elle être intégrée à Caxias ? L'école publique parie sur la pensée. Il s’agit d’un projet de formation continue universitaire développé par l'Université de l'État de Rio de Janeiro [UERJ]. Il est coordonné par le groupe d’études sur la philosophie et l’enfance du programme de maîtrise en éducation de l’UERJ et il est réalisé dans l'École Municipale Joaquim da Silva Peçanha située dans la municipalité de Duque de Caxias, à Rio de Janeiro ; mon lieu de travail. Nous tenterons de faire une brève incursion dans l’expérimentation énigmatique dans un territoire où l’on vise à penser la philosophie en dehors des murs de l’université ; un lieu périphérique où la philosophie semble avoir été toujours absente. Cependant, elle affirme les voix uniques, puissantes, et diverses des élèves et des professeurs d’une école publique  brésilienne ainsi que leurs pensées enfantines lorsqu’elle est présente. Nesta escrita pensamos questões provocadas pelos deslocamentos ligados a um projeto de filosofia com infâncias em uma escola pública de periferia desenvolvido no Brasil, intitulado Em Caxias a Filosofia en-caixa? A escola pública aposta no pensamento. O projeto é de extensão universitária e é desenvolvido pela Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro [UERJ]. É coordenado pelo Núcleo de Estudos de Filosofias e Infâncias do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação da UERJ, e exercitado no meu local de trabalho, na Escola Municipal Joaquim da Silva Peçanha do Município de Duque de Caxias, RJ. Aqui, tentaremos fazer uma breve incursão na experiência de viver o enigmático exercício em um território que temos apostado pensar a filosofia para fora dos muros da universidade; lugar de periferia, ali onde ela parece ter estado sempre ausente, mas que ela, ao estar presente, afirma as potentes, singulares e múltiplas vozes e pensamentos infantis de estudantes e professores de uma escola pública brasileira.
