Therefore we had to look for the experience´s level of coexistence between the students through a screening test, that made possible the de- sign of a program of activities that we evaluated by the means of another test. The approximation used was mixed and the investigation was carried out through Action Research. It was concluded that dance, besides having a great educational and pedagogical impact on the students, it´s an activity of a great deal of importance from the social and cultural standpoint, being a perfect conduct of ideas.

El presente trabajo, tuvo como objetivo general, fortalecer la convivencia escolar a través de la danza en niños del grado quinto, entre los nueve y once años del colegio Los Andes de la ciudad de Bogotá; para esto, se diagnosticó el nivel de convivencia de los estudiantes objeto de estudio en el ambiente escolar mediante la aplicación de un pre test, que permitió el diseño de un programa de actividades que después de ser implementado, se evaluó a través de un post test. El enfoque utilizado fue el mixto y el abordaje del trabajo investigativo se realizó mediante la Investigación Acción. Se concluye que la danza, además de tener un gran valor educativo para el niño desde el punto de vista pedagógico, constituye una actividad vital espontánea y permanente, a partir de la cual se incentiva su creatividad y se fomentan normas de relaciones sociales, culturales y morales, convirtiéndose por de- más en un agente de transmisión de ideas.
