description This text presents a bibliometric review of sustainable tourism, analysing 38 years of research, published between 1991 and 2019, within the Web of Science database, using the keyword “sustainable tourism”. The analysis focuses on the results of bibliometric review software, Rstudio to perform different topics in bibliometrics, including the most cited paper and author. The results of the study indicate that sustainable tourism has achieved a complexity that is reflected in the exponential growth of scientific papers.
