description This case allows a deeper understanding of corporate strategies in multinational environments, through the study of the Colombian company CarvajalS.A., which reflects a harmony between what we want to become and what it is. Thus, their strategy has enabled it to make better competitive position. By tracking the historical development and from information obtained from the company and previous studies in the same, are identified and validated multinationalization strategies it has implemented to settle in a global environment, which sets out what were the powers that have different and that stand out internationally and discusses how the company has aligned with the global requirements of transparency and management of its corporate governance. To maintain and improve its position in a global environment, this company can among other things, issue shares, analysis of attractiveness, strengthen your marketing strategies, improve knowledge transfer processes, leverage resources, think globally and continue to innovate.

El  presente  caso  permite  profundizar  en  el conocimiento  de  estrategias  corporativas  en entornos multinacionales, por medio del estudio de  la  empresa Colombiana Carvajal  S.A.,  la  cual, refleja una armonía entre lo que quiere llegar a ser y lo que es. Así, su estrategia le ha permitido tomar mejores  posiciones  competitivas.  Haciendo un seguimiento de su desarrollo histórico y a partir de información  obtenida  de  la  empresa  y  estudios previos  realizados  en  la misma,  se  identifican y validan  las  estrategias  de  multinacionalización que ha  implementado para ubicarse en un entorno mundial,  se  establecen  cuáles  han  sido las competencias  que  la  han  hecho  diferente y la destacan  internacionalmente  y  se  analiza  la manera en que la empresa se ha alineado con los requerimientos mundiales  de  transparencia  y el manejo  de  su  gobierno  corporativo.  Para mantener  y mejorar  su  posición  en  un  entorno mundial,  esta  empresa  puede  entre  otras  cosas, emitir  acciones,  realizar  análisis  de  atractividad, fortalecer  sus  estrategias  de marketing, mejorar sus  procesos  de  transferencia  de  conocimiento, aprovechar  sus  recursos,  pensar  globalmente  y continuar  innovando.Palabras  Clave: Estrategia, estrategias de multinacionalización,  competencias  distintivas, gobierno corporativo.AbstractThis  case  allows  a  deeper  understanding  of corpor a te   s t r a tegi e s   in  mul t ina t iona l  environments,   through  the  study  of  the Colombian company Carvajal S.A., which reflects a harmony between what we want to become and what  it  is.
