description | Structural design is an essential field in civil engineering and in the development of society, since it provides safe and efficient structural systems for the several types of buildings and civil works necessary to improve the quality of life of its users and occupants. Considering this situation, in this project, it was carried out a study in the city of Ibague in which it was sought to determine and compare the variables required to design a reinforced concrete structure. For this reason, the seismic amplification coefficients of the Colombian Seismic Resistant Construction Regulation (NSR-10) given for the most common types of soil in Ibague and the current seismic microzoning of the city are compared, which affect and generate a variation in the design earthquake. In addition, the study of the energy dissipation capacity of the structure was proposed to generate a complete analysis of the design variables and obtain safe and optimal parameters and recommendations for the execution of the structural design of regular buildings with less than 5 floors. The BIM Revit tool was used, which allows to have complete information of the structural project related to the materials and thus estimate the variations between the different designs obtained. |

El diseño estructural es una rama esencial en la ingeniería civil y en el desarrollo de la sociedad, puesto que brinda sistemas estructurales seguros y eficientes para los diversos tipos de edificaciones y obras civiles necesarias para mejorar la calidad de vida de sus usuarios y ocupantes. Considerando lo anterior, en este proyecto se realizó un estudio en la ciudad de Ibagué en el cual se buscó determinar y comparar las variables requeridas para diseñar una estructura de concreto reforzado. Por esta razón, se comparan los coeficientes de amplificación sísmica del Reglamento Colombiano de Construcción Sismo Resistente (NSR-10) dados para los tipos de suelo más comunes en Ibagué y la microzonificación sísmica vigente de la ciudad, los cuales afectan y generan una variación en el sismo de diseño. Además de esto, se planteó el estudio de la capacidad de disipación de energía de la estructura para generar un análisis completo de las variables de diseño y obtener parámetros y recomendaciones seguras y óptimas para la ejecución del diseño estructural de edificaciones regulares con menos de 5 pisos. Se utilizó la herramienta BIM Revit, la cual permite tener información completa del proyecto estructural relacionada con los materiales y así estimar las variaciones entre los diferentes diseños obtenidos.
